Goodwill Receives Appreciation Plaque from U.S. Census Bureau
Goodwill has received an appreciation plaque from the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Census Bureau for our support in helping them to achieve a complete and accurate census count for 2010. Goodwill provided classroom space for census procedures training, as well as census workers from individuals in our vocational services programs. For more information on the 2010 Census:

President and CEO Richard L. Coleman Announces Retirement
Richard L. Coleman, who has served as president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc., for the past 19 years, has announced his retirement effective October 1.
Goodwill's Board of Directors said they plan to announce a new president and CEO by early September.
"Coleman's innovative leadership style and dedication to Goodwill's mission is exactly what was needed for this organization and the Central Florida community," said board member Tom Powell.
During Coleman's tenure, the number of people served by Goodwill each year has grown, from 295 in 1990 to more than 26,000 people in 2009. Goodwill Industries of Central Florida now is the 27th largest Goodwill in North America, and its operating budget has grown from $2 million to more than $25 million.

Goodwill's Job Club Offers Hope to Job Seekers

Job Club - Is an intensive program that delivers comprehensive interview skills training, job seeking and resume writing assistance. Graduates receive a professional resume and vouchers for interview apparel from local Goodwill stores. Networking Center - Will provide you with the latest job leads, and have photocopy and fax equipment available to help you with your search. We also provide a "Hello Line" that substitutes for a home phone number, so even if you have no home telephone you may receive calls from prospective employers.
Community Resources Library - Provides an abundance of information on community services and organizations that can help you resolve issues in your life. We have the resources to help, so call your local job center today!
