Merelyn M. entered Goodwill’s 12-week Work Transition program with a desire for a fresh start and the opportunity to build a brighter future. Through determination, commitment, and a willingness to learn, she turned that opportunity into a meaningful accomplishment.
Throughout the program, Merelyn participated in weekly résumé-building and mock interview workshops, developing the skills and confidence needed to pursue employment prospects. By applying what she learned into practice, she finalized her résumé and applied for a position that aligned with her career goals.
Today, Merelyn achieved her employment goal. She has been hired as a full-time Wares Processor at the same Kissimmee Goodwill store where she completed her Work Transition experience. Her journey has come full circle, moving from a Work Transition participant gaining valuable experience to a full-time team member launching her career.
