ORLANDO, Fla. (July 23, 2020) – Today, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida opened a brand-new 25,000-square-foot retail store in Lake Nona. Located at 12865 Narcoossee Road, the store is Goodwill’s third new location in 2020, following openings in Viera and Lady Lake in May. The Lake Nona opening created 40 new jobs.

“In this current climate, we are very grateful to be creating job opportunities with the opening of our Lake Nona store,” said Kim Praniewicz, senior director of marketing and communications. “This location will help Goodwill provide vital support for our nonprofit services and, ultimately, create access to even more jobs for those who need them most in our community.”

The Lake Nona store will incorporate the same health and safety precautions currently in place at Goodwill’s other locations: plexiglass partitions at registers, one-way aisles and limited capacity. Employees will be instructed to wear facemasks and gloves. Dressing rooms will be closed, and as a result, the return policy will be extended to 14 days.

Ninety percent of revenue from Goodwill’s retail sales directly benefits the nonprofit’s job skills and employment placement programs, which provide career counseling, vocational training and other resources to Central Floridians. Anyone in need of assistance can email JobConnection@GoodwillCFL.org or call (407) 235-1541.

Goodwill’s Lake Nona store is still hiring. For more information about Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, including individual store hours, visit www.GoodwillCFL.org.
